writer duties:

Collaborates with the Art Director or Graphic Designer
to develop strategically sound solutions under the guidance of the Creative
Director.
2.
Accurately interprets strategic and creative briefs.

Articulates the benefits of the recommended creative
execution.

Work with CD to generate Creative and Strategic briefs.
5.
Responsible for the quality and completeness of source
material.
6.
See to it that there is complete referencing of
finished copy.
7.
Utilizes resources such as the Medical Director, Senior
Medical Editors, Researchers, strategic documents, and focus groups to validate
the creative or editorial approach.
8.
Maintains continuity of style on longterm projects.
9.
Direct copy based on Creative and Strategic brief.
10.
Interact with Creative Director or Associate Creative
Director on all assignments.
11.
Works with IA and Designers to integrate copy /
navigation / design into effective Web sites.
12.
Advise Marketing and Delivery Management on budget,
timeline and final deliverables so as to manage client expectations.
II. List of Copy
writer qualifications
1.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree and seven plus (7+)
years of experience in an editorial or advertising capacity (preferably both)
are required, and at least two (2) years of experience in a supervisory
position is desirable.
2.
Advanced editing skills are required.
3.
Indepth knowledge of pharmaceutical healthcare
marketing is a must.
4.
Proven ability to write in interactive is a must.
5.
Experience with principles of interactive information
architecture and navigation is a plus.
6.
Working knowledge of print, video, and audio production
is also necessary.
7.
The ability to communicate creative direction
effectively to other writers, either verbally or in writing is required.
8.
Must have research skills.
9.
Must be capable of meeting deadlines.
10.
Must be able to work on multiple assignments over a
given time period.
11.
Must be capable of working both independently and in a
team environment.
12.
Must know how to use Microsoft Word software.
