- Work with Director of Communications and PR to develop an annual strategic communication plan and calendar
- Manage the writing, editing and distribution of HSF Affiliates LLC multi-brand communication vehicles, and develop strategies for better readership; interact with affiliates, and the internal HSF team to develop stories and updates for publications
- Manage the writing, editing and distribution of internal email communication
- Support and contribute to multi-brand social media sites
- Measure and analyze results and distribute analysis to management incorporating ideas for improved readership and reach
- Write communications including articles, releases, presentations, and provide research support for speeches and presentations
- Proofread and edit communications
- Develop strong relationship with contributors/stakeholders (internal departments)
- Provide input and coordination for the creation of Public Relations reports throughout the year
- Write press releases
- Research, write and distribute articles, fact sheets, backgrounders and other documents
- Respond to media inquiries and work with media to identify and locate key spokesperson when required

writer qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications/journalism, public relations and/or related profession
- 5-7 years’ experience working in corporate communications, public relations, media or related fields
- Proficient skills in PC-based environment, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; proficient with online mass email communication tools
- Recognized as a superior communicator. Writing and editing skills and experience writing for different audiences using various formats
- Must be detail-oriented and analytical with strong organizational skills
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment under tight deadlines
- Web and social media skills
- Must have the ability to work independently, multi-task with ease and make educated decisions
- Experience supporting real estate franchisor/franchisee a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. Must demonstrate skills in developing respect among various stakeholders including senior management, network, co-workers and third parties. Ability to maintain exception working relationships
- Ability to work in a variety of team situations
- Proven ability to set priorities and balance numerous responsibilities
- Some travel is possible
