        1.            Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, business, or equivalent professional experience
        2.            Typically requires five or more years of technical writing experience in a commercial software development environment
        3.            Excellent writing skills and an ability to follow Sourcefire’s writing style guidelines
        4.            Excellent interpersonal skills
        5.            A strong understanding of commercial hardware and software development processes, including design, development, and quality assurance
        6.            Expertise with software applications, including content development, graphics, and online help authoring tools
        7.            Proficiency with content reuse and single-sourcing
        8.            Proficiency with defect tracking software
        9.            Background in configuring and documenting network hardware components, firmware, and BIOS settings
    10.            Experience documenting configuration of network hardware running the Linux operating system via the command line a plus
    11.            Experience working with computer hardware integrators, hardware manufacturers, order fulfillment or shipping staff, or operations groups a plus
    12.            Background in networking and network security a plus
