I. List of Scientific writer duties:
  1. Technical writing in the form of validation reports, bioanalytical & final study reports, test methods, worksheets, and SOPs.
  2. Interact with customers in the development, writing and approval of validation reports, bioanalytical & final study reports.
  3. Coordinate document revision process for laboratory SOPs, Test Methods, and worksheets.
  4. Responsible for controlled documentation submission into Document Management System for laboratory documents.
  5. Assist laboratory end users with MS Word and Excel support.
  6. Provide technical experience needed to prepare and write a variety of scientific articles, reports, brochures, etc.
  7. Perform literature searches and reviews of technical/scientific research reports.
II. List of Scientific writer qualifications
  1. BS or MS Degree with a minimum of two years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Ability to write, read, and interpret technical and scientific reports and correspondence.
  3. Excellent oral/written communication, research, and interpersonal skills required.
  4. Excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  5. Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office and e-mail.
  6. Experience with electronic document control system preferred.
  7. Demonstrates strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  8. Demonstrates ability to communicate basic scientific ideas to the general public.
  9. Demonstrates experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
