I. Key qualifications/requirements
  1. 5-7 years experience as a writer in a communications and/or marketing roll.
  2. Ability to synthesize, customize and communicate complex information for a
    broad range of internal and external stakeholders with an awareness of the demographical interests of targeted audiences.
  3. Experience in cause-related/social or consumer marketing and executing mass-
    market campaigns.
  4. Ability to proactively champion and build commitment to aggressively moving communication programs forward.
  5. Exceptional, effective written and verbal communication skills, including
    working knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, punctuation, use of business vocabulary in composition of documents, and messaging for public speaking.
  6. Proven ability to independently meet multiple deadlines, balance numerous
    projects, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities while maintaining a
    perspective on long-term goals.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with and understanding needs of
    a diverse and decentralized staff, media, vendors, providers, volunteer leaders,
    stakeholders and others at all levels.
  8. Strong grasp of and interest in online media.
  9. Comfort in serving as spokesperson when necessary.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  11. Ability to learn and apply routine office policies and procedures.
  12. Market research experience is a plus.
