- Write scripts for promos, sizzle reels, viral videos, radio spots.
- Brainstorm with Creative Directors, Sr. and Writer/Producers on how to convey appropriate messaging.
- Staying current on writing trends. Studying movie trailers, commercials, print media, etc., for writing techniques.
- Serve as lead creative on all assigned network priorities
- Work with their team to develop and produce promotional spots/creative for show launches, topical promos, image campaigns, upfront presentations, original shoots, special events and all creative tactics.
- Work to increase viewer retention, ensuring message and branding are on target.
- Collaborate and cultivate relationships in and outside ABC Entertainment to produce stronger, more effective creative, campaigns and processes.
- Supervise creative deliverables to fulfill on-air plans and requests.
- Develop and manage internal staff including Associate Producers and Writer/Producers along with outside agencies and vendors to achieve effective results.

writer qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of overall Marketing experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience writing and producing spots for a broadcast or cable television network, a movie trailer house or an ad agency.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a team
- Strong creative background in Broadcast TV and/or Cable Networks a must
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
- Proven leader and mentor and is comfortable with success
through others/their team.
Superior writing skills. - Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills
- Must be pro-active with the ability to problem solve and work well with peers and all levels of management.
- Strong visual sense.
- Ability to multi-task, creatively problem solve and work well under pressure and on a tight deadline.
- Understand all phases of pre-production, production and post-production.
- Must be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage multiple priorities while delivering high level results.
- Must have the necessary drive and ability to lead change to implement initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and marketing colleagues across the company.
- Ability to sell ideas to leadership team.
