I. List of Entry writer duties:

         1.            Prioritize, organize and complete tasks in a timely manner
         2.            Entry processing – 5 days prior to arrival or w/I 24 hours of receipt
         3.            Issuance of delivery orders – w/I same day of entry processing
         4.            Billing – accurate and timely – Billed same day sent w/I 48 hours
         5.            OGA processing – 5 days prior to arrival or w/I 24 hours of receipt
         6.            Freight Release – before vessel arrival or w/I 24 hours of receipt. (obl&$)
         7.            Determine proper, legal duty rates
         8.            Continued education of import processes, CBP and OGA Regulations
         9.            Interface with Customs and other government agencies.
     10.            Assist with the creation of client sops
     11.            Ensure maximum customer service satisfaction through interaction with clients and other company business unit
     12.            Ensure compliance of CHB/CBP policies, procedures and regulations
     13.            Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Management, colleagues, Internal and external customers.
     14.            Participate and Maintain team-work and a friendly work environment
     15.            Recommend solutions to simplify and expedite cargo flow
     16.            Process entries and follow up on clearances in a timely manner
     17.            Participate in Pride teams
     18.            Post entry work as needed
     19.            File audits
     20.            Staff backup
     21.            Assist with training and education of fellow staff, customers and other biz units
     22.            Increase profit – Cargo insurance, "best in class service", profit mark up etc

II. List of Entry writer qualifications

        1.            10 Years Customs Brokerage experience
        2.            Ability to work with demanding deadlines
        3.            Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
        4.            Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
        5.            Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate and have the ability to efficiently solve problems
        6.            Solid knowledge of air and ocean ports along with basic knowledge of U.S. Regulatory Laws
        7.            Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks, must be organized
 Strong PC skills
        8.            Proven analytical and problem solving skills
        9.            Work effectively via phone, fax, e-mail. Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter
    10.            In-depth knowledge of INCO terms, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Customs regulations and other government agency requirements
