I. List of Entertainment writer duties:

  1. Writer will be responsible for producing 35 news stories everyday (7 days/week).
  2. Write concise and interesting news wires in AP style and to work quickly at doing so.
  3. Utilize rolodex of contacts to break exciting new stories and find unique marketing opportunities.
  4. Leverage social networking skills utilizing and updating Twitter and Facebook accounts for any news stories posted.
  5. Constantly monitor the internet/TV for all breaking news stories and be ready to write the story immediately.
  6. Conceive, write and produce Branded Entertainment creative for Investigation Discovery as well as Destination America and the Military Channel
  7. Write and produce internal projects: i.e. ad sales presentation tapes, Branded Entertainment pitch elements

II. List of Entertainment writer qualifications
  1. BA/BS in Film, TV, Drama, Media Studies, Communications or equivalent
  2. Minimum of three to five years writing and production experience in network television
  3. Professional TV staff experience in drama and comedy a plus
  4. Experience in all aspects of live TV production a plus
  5. Highly creative (a prolific idea generator)
  6. Plugged into pop culture and trends
  7. Able to work closely and effectively with talent, writers, and producers throughout the creative process
  8. Strong understanding of WWE's audience (demographic and psychographic) a plus
  9. Must live in Stamford, CT area or be willing to relocate there
  10. Knowledge of WWE shows, talent, and storylines
  11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  12. Flexible travel schedule (extensive travel required)
