I. List of Editorial writer duties:

        1.            Collaborates with the Art Director or Graphic Designer to develop strategically sound solutions under the guidance of the Creative Director.
        2.            Accurately interprets strategic and creative briefs.
        3.            Articulates the benefits of the recommended creative execution.
        4.            Work with CD to generate Creative and Strategic briefs.
        5.            Responsible for the quality and completeness of source material.
        6.            See to it that there is complete referencing of finished copy.
        7.            Utilizes resources such as the Medical Director, Senior Medical Editors, Researchers, strategic documents, and focus groups to validate the creative or editorial approach.
        8.            Maintains continuity of style on longterm projects.
        9.            Direct copy based on Creative and Strategic brief.
    10.            Interact with Creative Director or Associate Creative Director on all assignments.
 Works with IA and Designers to integrate copy / navigation / design into effective Web sites.
    11.            Advise Marketing and Delivery Management on budget, timeline and final deliverables so as to manage client expectations.

  1. College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  2. Must have ten years of proven journalistic experience or communications.
  3. Excellent communication skills along with public speaking expertise.
  4. Must possess highly developed reporting and writing skills.
  5. Presents own ideas for editorials.
  6. Should be able to juggle daily deadline requirements and longterm projects as well as page makeup duties.
  7. Ability to use or learn page layout and video programs.
  8. Proven aptitude for quick, creative thinking with acute attention to detail.
  9. Must have ability to manage multiple, changing assignments and meet demanding deadlines.
  10. Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal skills required. Must be openminded and able to work in a collegial culture that develops consensus on issues.
  11. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance.
